Why does it seem like self-care is like having another job?
It's a part of your life where you “show up” and do a bunch of stuff you’d
So maybe you end up doing nothing at all.
Or worse, you put in a bunch of work and feel like nothing is getting
That sounds like working at a job that you hate, no?
What are the qualities of a job that you love?
*sense of accomplishment
*something you wake up excited to do
Those same qualities can and should be how you feel when it comes to
But I’m guessing they're not, else you wouldn’t be here.
Here’s the thing most people miss:
Your “job description” for self-care is within your control.
You’re the boss, the employee, and the customer at the same time.
Nobody else can tell you what to do day-to-day.
Nobody else is responsible for executing on the work to be done.
And nobody else can, or will, hold you accountable the way a customer would
(unless you enable them to.)
It’s a lot simpler than you think.
All you have to do is hit 5 daily targets:
Proper self-care is not natural, but again, it is simple.
It can be both exciting & rewarding (just like a job that you love).
And just like when starting a new job, you will only be successful if you
get the proper training.
